Good old times like nursery rhymes
They’re back, the kids they’re all out playin hide n seek
At least once a week.
They go out to the garden and they’ll pick their mom
The finest flowers it could grow
And they’ll let her know, that they love her so.
Mom works hard to make ends meet
Which nowadays ain’t no small feat.
She cleans the house, then she cooks the meals
She shops the stores to find the deals.
Sometimes we take for granted
All the love that Mama brings into our home
Sometimes we take for granted
All the love that mama brings into our home.
And in the morning when I rise
I look into her waking eyes
And I let her know, that I love her so.
I’ll hug her and I’ll kiss her
I’ll stroke her hair to let her know
That I’m her man, like no other can.
If worry comes, she hides her tears
She tries to hide behind her fears
I can see right through those walls
As I kiss away her tears that fall.
Sometimes I take for granted
All the love that my wife brings into our home
Sometimes I take for granted
All the love that my wife brings into our home.
Later when the kids have grown
And me and mom, we’re on our own
On the front porch swing, we remember things
Like hide n seek, like nursery rhymes
Those fresh cut flowers, the good old times
We reminisce, about what we miss and then we’ll kiss.
The weekends come, the kids flock home
With tiny angels all their own
And me and mom watch from that swing
Those tiny angels spread their wings.
And all they think about is
All the love that Grandma brings into our home
Yeah, all they think about is
All the love that Grandma brings into our home
Good old times like nursery rhymes
They’re back, the kids are all out playin hide n seek
At least once a week.
They go out to the garden and they’ll pick their mom
The finest flowers it can grow, and they’ll let her know
That they love her so
They love her so !
